Back in PC for ICC
It's a better week already! I'm staying at an amazing house that has been graciously loaned to us by a family friend. Just to have more space than a hotel cubical, a kitchen to cook our own food and a hot tub to relax in makes a world of difference for us!
It was such a nice day that Stokes and I decided to grab lunch at the Deer Valley Ski resort just up the street. We sat outside and ate their famous turkey chili… HIGHLY RECOMMENDED! It was so nice sitting in the sun watching the little kids bomb down the ski hill and nearly run up on the lodge deck. I kind of felt like I was on vacation for a minute! haha The resorts are in dire need of snow but I sure hope it holds off until I leave!

Today was a sad but exciting day for us… we lost a great member of our team to the World Cup circuit. Kyle, who always keeps us laughing, is replacing Caleb in Europe until Christmas. Caleb chose to step down, giving an intercontinental cup athlete the opportunity to experience competition at the highest level. Although we are sad to see him go, we’re looking forward to cheering him on and watching the races live on UNIVERSALSPORTS.com.
Official sliding starts tomorrow… We’ll see how it goes. I am definitely happy that I had the weekend off to rest up and get excited for the next few days :) Sometimes that’s the best way to go.
