4th in IGLS

I finished 4th in today's Europa Cup race (top U.S. finisher). I was excited that I pushed much faster than the last time I was here... That might have been the biggest accomplishment for me. I didn't race to the best of my ability which was frustrating but at the same time, I'm happy with my results knowing there is definite room for improvement. There were 93 sleds (men and women) from 27 different nations here today... that's a ton of sliders! I'm really glad I had the opportunity to be here with everyone.... It was kind of a starter race for me and now I'm ready to begin my circuit, the Intercontinental Cup Tour. We leave for Cesana (Torino) early tomorrow morning... We're expecting anywhere from an 8-10 hour drive. It should be a fun trip in our BIG red bus :) Once we arrive, we'll join up with our team manager/coach and two other teammates. Unfortunately, I don't expect to have much internet access in Italy (if any at all). I've definitely been spoiled here in Igls with my computer. I'll do the best I can to keep everyone updated!
As for now, we are all going out to celebrate our first ever WORLD RANKING!!! At the moment, I am ranked 4th in the WORLD!!! Unfortunately, it will be short lived because this was the first race of the year! haha. World Cup has their opening race next week in Calgary, Canada (when we are racing in Torino). The new system this year gives everyone a world rank using a teared point system for each tour. World Cup receives the most points for their finishes, then Intercontinental Cup, then Europa & America's Cup collecting the least.

Well, have a great night!!! Cheers :)
